Liverpool fans are all saying the same thing after hearing what Diogo Jota has had to say about his link-up with Alexis Mac Allister.

The Argentine made his Liverpool debut on Wednesday evening as the Reds kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 4-2 win over German side Karlsruher SC.

Jota scored in the 90th minute to make it 3-2 before latching onto a through ball from Mac Allister to make it four.

After the match, Jota was asked about his immediate link-up with the new signing and his response has got fans talking. You can watch the footage below.

Jota said: “I really like these kinds of players, I have to tell you.

“They just see these passes. It’s almost like, you just need to make the run and they will see it and that’s amazing.”

He continued: ““I start to see I can link up very well with him [Mac Allister] and hopefully we can take this into the season.”

Fans were quick to react to Jota’s words on social media.

One said: “Jota basically says he was tired of hoofball.”

Another tweeted: “The happiness in his eyes when he says "they can see the passes””

A third fan added: “Look at Jota’s face knowing Mac and Szoboszlai will be behind him.”

Someone else wrote: “Man said I played with hoof boy hendo now mans got ballers.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “The face of a man who knows he no longer has to play with Hooferson.”

Another fan said: “He literally exposed all the midfielders we had last season.”

Liverpool are in the middle of a midfield revamp after the departures of James Milner, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Naby Keita.

Over the last few days, both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho’s futures have been thrown into the air.

Captain Henderson has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq whilst Fabinho is said to be closing in on a move to Al Ittihad.

Liverpool will begin their 23/24 Premier League season with a huge clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
