Everton secured a crucial 3-0 win over Newcastle at Goodison Park to lift themselves out of the relegation zone - but there were chaotic scenes at full time.

Second half goals from Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Beto ensured all three points for Sean Dyche's side, who move on to 10 points - one clear of 18th-placed Luton.

The hard-fought win was accompanied by a fever-pitch celebration among the supporters at Goodison Park, and Toffees players couldn't help but join in as well.

However, something that goalkeeper Jordan Pickford did clearly upset a number of Newcastle players, with Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton involved in a row with the England international.

Amazon Prime cameras captured players from both sides sprinting over to break up the row, with a furious Joelinton led away by security.

Footage from inside the stadium has since given an indication towards what caused the incident, with several Newcastle players confronting Pickford after full time.

You can see the clip below.

The goalkeeper then had words of his own before being pulled away by his Everton team-mates.

Although it stops short of becoming a mass brawl, tensions did nearly boil over between the two sets of players at Goodison Park.

Stewards then became involved to try and break up the confrontation, before security led players away from the scene.

According to fans at the ground, Pickford performed a knee slide in front of the Newcastle away support at Goodison Park, although it is unclear whether it was solely that act that riled the Magpies players.

It was Everton, though, who had the last laugh on the pitch, recording yet another crucial home victory during Sean Dyche's tenure as manager.

Without the points deduction, the Toffees would currently be in the top half of the Premier League table ahead of Chelsea - who they face this weekend at Goodison Park. Prepare for some more fireworks...
