Deleted video of Arsenal team arriving at hotel before Burnley game 'confirms' Bukayo Saka injury status

Arsenal might have received an unlikely injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley.

Social media footage appears to have confirmed Bukayo Saka's injury status ahead of Arsenal's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Arsenal will take on Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, looking bounce back from their controversial 1-0 defeat to Newcastle last weekend.

Mikel Arteta's side responded well to that loss with a 2-0 win against Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday, but they feared they might have lost one of their most important players in the process.

Bukayo Saka put in a player of the match performance against the Spanish side as he grabbed one goal and an assist, but he was forced off late on with a knock.

On Friday Arteta confirmed that Saka did not train with the squad in preperation for Burnley, but remained optimistic that the 22-year-old could still have a part to play.

Footage published to X - formely Twitter - on Saturday morning showed Saka arriving at the team hotel with his teammates ahead of the match. The video has since been deleted.

If Saka is passed fit to play then Arteta's side will receive a big boost. The attacker has scored four goals and provided three assists in 10 games, while in the Champions League he has been directly involved in five goals in just four outings.

Saka has only missed one of Arsenal's 11 league games so far this season, but the Gunners coped well without him as they rode out 1-0 winners against champions Manchester City.

Saka was named in the England squad by Gareth Southgate earlier this week for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

There were concerns that he could miss a second successive international break through injury, having missed the October internationals against Australia and Italy.

Arsenal are three points off league leaders City, and will look to put pressure on Pep Guardiola's side ahead of their trip to Chelsea tomorrow afternoon.
