Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang called out Arsenal fans who said he was "finished" after scoring twice in his first El Clasico last night.

The Gabon international found the net in either half and also registered an assist in the 4-0 thumping at the hands of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Aubameyang has scored nine goals in 11 games since joining Barca on a free transfer in January and now notched in five straight games against champions Real.

After his second goal, the former Borussia Dortmund striker ran over to the corner flag and pulled off a Dragon Ball Z celebration and then following the rout, used it to throw a bit of shade.

"Hello from the finished player," Aubameyang wrote, with a side-by-side of him and the anime character.

Having been captain and talisman, Aubameyang found himself well out of favour at Arsenal following repeated breaches of discipline under Mikel Arteta this season and had his contract at Arsenal terminated to allow the move to Barca.

The 32-year-old is now averaging a goal every 63 minutes in La Liga, proving that he is undoubtedly not finished at all.

"I want to tell the truth, I think this is the beginning of the new era, with so much talent and so many young players as well," Aubameyang told Barcelona's official channels after his two-goal haul.

"This is something good for the team mentally and we are just happy to win this game."

The brace made him the first player to score in the Der Klassiker, the North London derby and El Clasico.

On scoring at the Bernabeu against Real, he added: "Definitely yes [a dream come true]. To be honest I was hoping for it. I did it and I'm happy tonight.

"It's really something special to come here and score goals so really, really happy."

Barca defender Gerard Pique broke the internet with his post-match tweet where he simply wrote, "We are back" five minutes after the full-time whistle was blown.
