Barcelona fans have issued a warning to Manchester United after Spanish wonderkid Pedri dropped a scintillating performance against Villarreal.
Pedri started alongside Franck Kessie and Frenkie de Jong in the heart of Barcelona’s midfield and proved to be the difference-maker at the El Madrigal on Sunday.
The 20-year-old midfielder opened the scoring for Barcelona inside 20 minutes, with Villarreal unable to find the all-important equaliser against the La Liga leaders.
Pedri’s winner ensured that Xavi’s men extended their dominance over the La Liga title race, with Barcelona 11 points clear of fierce rivals Real Madrid.

Barcelona will now resume their Europa League campaign on Thursday as they welcome United to the Camp Nou for the first leg of their Europa League clash.
Pedri’s highlights made the rounds on social media, but Barcelona fans also believe United fans should be made aware of the threat he could pose for them.
“And that will be Man United,” one fan said.
Someone else commented: “Man United fans after they [are] humbled at the Camp Nou and Pedri and Gavi own them like they did with Real Madrid.”
A third added: “You will own United!”
“Drop a masterclass performance against Manchester United, please, you’re better than Bruno [Fernandes] and [Christian] Eriksen,” one Twitter user wrote.
While a fifth fan posted: “Pedri [will be] dunking on Man United.”
Speaking ahead of the first-leg knockout tie against United, Xavi told Barca TV+: “We analysed Manchester United, and I can tell you they are a great team. It will be very complicated.
“Now we move our focus to the match on Thursday. You never know with European competitions, it will be very tough, for sure.”
