Paul Pogba has been on the radar of Juventus for some time, and they are working on a deal to bring the midfielder back to the club imminently.

Manchester United announced Wednesday afternoon that Pogba is set to leave the club when his contract expires this month.

Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are all described as contenders for Pogba’s signature - but issues over wages and bonuses has seen Juventus leading in their bid.

The report was broken by Fabrizio Romano, who even stated that rivals Manchester City were interested in the dynamic midfielder. However, this was turned down by Pogba, who believed this would ruin the legacy he built at Manchester United and receive backlash from the United supporters.

Pogba has endured a rocky spell at United, a popular character who has been plagued by injuries - although some question his desire at times. Having made 154 league appearances since he signed in 2016, he has registered 29 goals and 38 assists.

Juventus have been linked to some top signings, with Angel Di Maria reportedly open to join the Old Lady on a free transfer and Gabriel Magalhaes courting interest. With both the Italian veteran Georgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala leaving in the summer on free transfers, Pogba and Di Maria could prove to be shrewd business.

At the age of 29 he could still have some of his best years ahead of him - and a return to Turin could recreate the form he was bought to show in Manchester.
