Ousmane Dembele's reaction to finding out Japan beat Germany is priceless, he couldn't' believe it

Ousmane Dembele left shocked during his press conference.

Ousmane Dembele was left shocked to find out that Japan stunned Germany at the World Cup, producing a hilarious reaction during his press conference.

Japan came from behind to beat Germany 2-1 in their Group E opener on Wednesday in yet another big upset at the World Cup.

Ilkay Gundogan converted a penalty in the first-half to open the scoring at the Khalifa International Stadium.

But Japan hit back with two late goals to complete an incredible comeback and a huge result.

Ritsu Doan cancelled out Gundogan's goal as he smashed home from close range, with Takuma Asano scoring the eventual match-winner seven minutes from time.

The result shocked France's Dembele, who couldn't believe the score between Japan and Germany.

He was informed of Japan's victory over Germany during his press conference and delivered a hilarious reaction.

Germany now face an uphill battle to qualify for the knockout stage, having crashed out of the 2018 World Cup at the group stage round.

They return to action on Sunday in a blockbuster clash against Spain, who thrashed Costa Rica 7-0 in their opener.

Speaking after Germany's shock defeat, Lothar Matthaus said they risk elimination if they repeat a similar performance against Japan.

"If we play against Spain like we did in the second half today, then we'll be eliminated," he said. "The team is now under more than extreme pressure. They must win. One point will most likely not be enough."

France, meanwhile, survived an early scare against Australia as they opened their campaign with a 4-1 win on Tuesday.

They went behind in the ninth minute when Craig Goodwin found the back of the net.

However, the defending champions responded in style as Adrien Rabiot and Olivier Giroud put them 2-1 up before the break.

Kylian Mbappe and another goal from Giroud completed the rout.

Les Bleus resume their Qatar venture on Saturday when they face Denmark.
