Football and fashion often go hand in hand and Italian women's clothing brand Miu Miu have merged the two worlds with one of their latest products.

They've released some 'Nappa leather mid-heel' sneakers, described as a "new take on football shoes".

The boots bear a resemblance to classic Copa Mundials and World Cup leather cleats but the major difference here is that the Miu Miu creation contains a varnished 55 mm mid-heel, a rubber peg sole, flat laces and a leather insole.

The product information section reads: "These nappa leather sneakers with varnished midi-heel are a new take on football shoes. Characterized by their tapered silhouette, they have stitching on the upper and are decorated with the screen-printed logo on the tongue."

The boots are available in both black and white but will set you back a whopping €750 - which is just over £640.

They're probably not the best shout for a bit of five-a-side at Powerleague but who's stopping you from sporting them while two-stepping in the dance when 21 June rolls around in the United Kingdom?

Actually, the bouncer might ended up giving you the "Not tonight" treatment upon looking down at the 'creps'.

It does seem as though Miu Miu are trying to keep with Balenciaga in regards to combining football and fashion.

In October, the Spanish brand Balenciaga hit headlines after they released their own football boots costing around £550.

Available in a slew of different colours, these 'unique' boots have been reworked for everyday wear as opposed to athletic activities, have their round-spiked polyurethane soles, and come in a variety of different colours, including black, white and red.

There's a retro foldable tongue design containing the company's logo, though you just know whoever wears these on a mucky Sunday League pitch is getting clattered.
