Why Ryan Giggs Has Instructed Gareth Bale To Only Drive One Car

It actually makes a lot of sense, to be honest...

When it emerged that Wales boss Ryan Giggs had told Gareth Bale, his star player, to only drive one car from now on, the initial understanding may have been that was in relation to not wanting the Real Madrid superstar to come across as a 'big time Charlie'.

However, it seems there is method to the madness - and there's a legitimate reason as to why Giggs has made the instruction.

Former Spurs man Bale is of course Wales' main man; everything goes through him and his importance to the team cannot be overstated.

Bale netted a hat-trick as United legend Giggs claimed a 6-0 victory over China in his first game in charge and the former Welsh wing wizard inevitably wants the current Dragons' talisman to be fit and firing as much as possible.

And in order to get the best out of the Bale, he has suggested the 28-year old only drives one car, as well as having a custom seat designed for his body's alignment.

According to The Times, "Giggs advised Bale to use one car and make sure the seat, its height and specification are set up properly for his body."

As someone who suffered recurring hamstring issues early on his career before taking up yoga and playing at the top level till he was 40, Giggs feels constantly changing cars and using different clutch pedals could be putting stress on the hamstring muscle.

Bale has been riddled with muscle injuries during his time at Real Madrid, therefore any change he can make is definitely worth trialing.

In addition, Giggs has also told Bale and other Wales players to reduce the amount of time they spend playing golf - something he also feels is key in helping stay clear of injury.

Bale enjoys swinging clubs and has three courses at his home, but he and his teammates were not allowed to play the sport during their trip to China -with Giggs cancelling a scheduled round of golf the players had on Saturday.

The 13-time Premier League winner has laid the law down further by banning players from wearing baseball caps as he wants them to look smartly dressed and presentable.
