In news that will come as no surprise to anyone, Diego Costa has been the most fouled player in the Premier League, so far this season.
The Chelsea striker, who is never far from controversy on the pitch, has been fouled 15 times in the opening four games of the campaign, while dishing out four of his own to opposition players, picking up three yellow cards in the process.

Costa will face old nemesis Jordan Henderson, who he has enjoyed a spiky relationship with in previous games between the Blues and the Reds and will no doubt add a few fouls to his 'received' and 'committed' columns over the course of the 90 minutes, tonight. Interestingly, Henderson has dished out nine fouls this season - the joint-second highest tally in the Premier League.

Costa's Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard is the next most fouled player in the league, having been felled 12 times, so far. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has called for match officials to offer his players more protection as he feels they are being unfairly targeted by opposition defenders and referees.
