West Ham Captain Mark Noble Reacts To Chaotic Scenes At London Stadium

Mark Noble has reacted to the absolute mayhem at London Stadium.

West Ham hosted Burnley in the Premier League, and suffered an embarrassing loss to the hands of Burnley, who inflicted a 3-0 defeat.

Ashley Barnes opened the scoring, before Chris Wood bagged a brace.

Though the league fixture was marred following the chaotic scenes which included several fans entering the field of play, with the West Ham skipper physically confronting a particular supporter.

He threw him on the floor, attempting to drag him off the pitch.

Following the full-time whistle, Noble spoke to reporters, detailing the crazy incident.

"They're not happy with what's going on and we're going to take the brunt of things," he said via Mirror.

"We understand they're frustrated but we're going to lose games and we are going to need them behind us.

"There are a lot of them out there who are not happy and it's a tough atmosphere.

Noble added: "People have to realise we are targets but we have got to protect ourselves, a number of fans got on the pitch, a lot were running over to the chairman but if someone approaches me I'm going to protect myself.

Meanwhile, the club have issued an official, yet brief, statement.

"West Ham United have immediately launched a full and thorough investigation into the incidents which marred the second half of today's match and are committed to taking decisive and appropriate action.

"An emergency meeting has been called with all London Stadium stakeholders. There will be no further comment at this time.
