Former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs tried his hand at punditry last night and on the whole, he received mixed reviews but his eyebrows, or lack of them, caused a stir on social media - prompting everyone to find an explanation for this mystery.

Giggs appeared as a pundit during the quarter-final clash between Portugal and Poland last night but a number of his opinions were slated by the public.

The 42-year-old received some stick for his choice of England manager, suggesting that former compatriot Louis van Gaal would be a good appointment.

But his lack of eyebrows were the main topic of conversation among Twitter users.
