Usually when Real Madrid and Tottenham are mentioned in the same breath it's because 'Los Blancos' are prying one of Spurs' top talents away from White Hart Lane, like they did with Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. However, Mauricio Pochettino is set to turn the tables on the 10 time European champions, this Summer.
It is being reported that Mateo Kovacic, a big money signing from Inter Milan last year, will be offloaded by Zinedine Zidane in the upcoming transfer window, with White Hart Lane his most likely destination.
The Croatian attacker has failed to make much of an impression at the Bernabeu in his debut season, and both Spurs and Sevilla are eyeing a move for the former Inter man, with a temporary move looking more likely than a permanent switch, according to AS.
Given that Spurs are pretty much confirmed for the Champions League next season, they are considered the favourites to land Kovacic's signature in the Summer.
