Paul Pogba has personally urged Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele to sign for Manchester United this transfer window.
Dembele, 23, has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on reinforcements ahead of deadline day.
Jadon Sancho remains the club's No.1 transfer target, but United have failed to meet Borussia Dortmund's financial demands.

Solskjaer is exploring alternatives with the French winger reportedly high on his transfer wish list.
And United midfielder Pogba has attempted to convince Dembele to join the Premier League club before next Monday's deadline.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Pogba called him to talk up United's ambitions and drew attention to the number of French speakers in the dressing room, including fellow Frenchman Anthony Martial.

The report also claims he assured Dembele that he'd get game time at United ahead of next summer's European Championship.
United have only secured one major transfer this summer in the shape of Donny van de Beek who joined in a deal worth £35 million.

And ahead of facing Tottenham on Sunday, Solskjaer didn't give too much away when he was asked about potential signings.
"Well, I'm not gonna go into the transfer window now, of course all my focus is on Sunday's game," he said.
"The club's always working hard to have as strong as possible a squad and if something happens in or out you'll get to know."
