Martin Caceres is looking set to re-join Juventus for the THIRD time in his 13 year professional career, according to Calcio Mercato.

The versatile defender was spotted at Juve' headquarters to complete a medical this morning.

You'd have to believe he's on first name terms with the club doctor by now. Caceres first joined the Turin club on-loan from Barcelona in 2009.After 15 games he was shipped-out to Sevilla for another temporary playing spell, before he signed for the Spanish club on a permanent basis a year later.

But the Uruguayan wasn't done with the north of Italy just yet. He moved back to Juventus on another loan move in 2012.

The club then acquired his well-known services on a four-year deal.

After leaving in 2016, the 31-year-old has played for Serie A sides Hellas Verona and Lazio - as well as Southampton, where he only managed one Premier League appearance against Middlesbrough.

And now - like a pesty garden weed (but with great hair) - Caceres has returned to the record title winning Italian outfit for a third go with the Old Lady.Having already won five Scudetto's, two Copa Italias and was also a part of Juventus' 2015 Champions League runners-up side, the defender will be hoping to add to that collection this season.

Juventus are on serious form so far this campaign, both domestically and in Europe.

They're favourites to retain the Serie A this season with a nine-point difference over second-place Napoli. But - with star man Cristiano Ronaldo - can Juventus go one further in the Champions League this time around and lift the trophy?
