Harry Kane has reportedly failed to return to Tottenham Hotspur training on Monday morning, after reportedly being told he could leave the club.
Kane told Spurs at the end of last season that he wanted to leave the north London side, where he's been his entire career, and wanted to stay in the Premier League.

He has been strongly linked with Manchester City all summer but his club understandably aren't too keen on selling him.
Kane was due to return to training on Monday morning, having taken a break following England's run to Euro 2020, but according to Sky Sports he failed to report to the Enfield Training Centre.
According to Sky, Kane believes that he has a gentleman's agreement with the club that he can leave this summer.

That news was reportedly recently, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy supposedly making a u-turn on his original decision that the player was not for sale.
However it's been repeatedly claimed that the Premier League side will not accept less than an astronomical £160 million for last season's golden boot winner in England's top tier.
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the news that Kane's failed arrival was down to personal choice and was not because he was awaiting a Covid-19 test.
Whilst it has been suggested City would be better off spending £40 million on Tammy Abraham, the Premier League champions signing the best striker in the league, and potentially the world, would be huge.

Pep Guardiola's side ran away with the title last season, beating rivals Manchester United by 12 points, without playing with a striker for most of the season.
They still have plenty of attacking talent without signing the 28-year-old, and could even add Jack Grealish as well.
City have reportedly put an offer in of £100 million to sign the Aston Villa captain, though his current team have offered him a new contract in hopes of keeping him in the Midlands.

Guardiola and his side travel to north London to face Spurs on the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign, in less than two weeks time, it's unlikely Kane will be playing for either by then.
