Kylian Mbappe's transfer value will plummet to £30 million this summer due to the ongoing economic crisis according to a French politician.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward is one of football's most valuable commodities and is estimated to be worth around £189 million in the transfer market.
But Daniel Cohn-Bendit, who is a member of the European Parliament, has stated the economic crash expected due to the conronavirus pandemic could wildly impact football.
"Tomorrow, Mbappe will cost €35-40 million tops, not €200 million," Cohn-Bendit told French outlet Ouest-France per Daily Mail.

"Who's going to be able to buy him?
"There's going to be a regulation and you will need to go further than salary caps.
"It's a reorganisation that's not only going to affect the wages of players, but also their image directs and advertising."
It emerged last week that Premier League clubs owe around £1.6 billion in transfer fees with around £900 million of that being to overseas clubs.

The report has sparked fear that the transfer market is set to collapse due to the sums owed.
Analysts have explained £1.8 billion has been slashed off the value of Premier League players due to the pandemic.
Mbappe, meanwhile, is reportedly being chased by Spanish giants Real Madrid and his contract with PSG is set to expire in 2022.

Former French footballer Jerome Rothen has revealed that a deal to bring the 21-year-old to La Liga was close to completion.
"I know from club sources that a deal to take Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid was almost done," Rothen, who won two titles during his six years at PSG, told Radio Montecarlo per Goal.
"But with what has been happening, I'm sure that Mbappe's arrival at Real Madrid will be postponed."
Rothen then went on to add: "There is no way that Mbappe will extend his contract with PSG.

"They will have an agreement between them in place because PSG agreed to let him go this summer. In my opinion, it's just a question of time."
Rumours have also emerged that 'Los Blancos' are interested in adding Erling Haaland to their attack alongside Mbappe to lead a new generation at the Bernabeu.
