As if Monaco hadn't suffered through enough sales of their star players last summer, Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has now revealed in a recent interview that his time with the French champions is coming to an end.

Last season's Ligue Un winners have lost Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kylian Mbappe since lifting the French League title and now it seems Fabinho is keen to join the quartet on his way out of the Stade Louis II stadium.

The 24-year-old was linked with a host of top clubs around Europe, last summer, with a move to Manchester United believed to be on the cards at one point before Jose Mourinho, who handed Fabinho his debut at Real Madrid during the 2012/13 season, opted for Nemanja Matic, instead.

But, with Monaco struggling to maintain a challenge to retain their title, this season along with a disappointing showing in the Champions League, where the French champions crashed out at the group stage, Fabinho has admitted that he could soon be playing his football elsewhere.

During an interview with Lance, the Brazil international said, "If a move to a new league or a club with a bigger structure and bigger expectations, I would be interested.

"My time with Monaco was good, but I feel my time here is coming to an end.

"I know that that the club's vision is to try to finish second and qualify for the Champions League, without counting on big-name players, but on young players.

"I believe I have gone through this process. I arrived as an unknown, I made my name at the club, won things - but maybe I need a new challenge."

The 24-year-old can also operate as a right-back and has made 202 appearances for Monaco during his five years in Monte Carlo.

But where is Fabinho's most likely next destination?
