He's being groomed as Gianluigi Buffon's successor for the Italian national team and now 17-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma could be set for a challenge almost as big as that with Florentino Perez eyeing the teenager to be Real Madrid's next number one.
Donnarumma shot to prominence when he was thrust into Milan's starting XI, last season. Since that baptism of fire at the beginning of the 2015/16 campaign, the youngster has impressed on a weekly basis and even made his bow for his country during Thursday's 3-1 friendly defeat to France.

Now, Spanish daily Sport believe that as well as succeeding Buffon, Donnarumma will be succeeding Costa Rican Keylor Navas by becoming the new number one for 'Los Blancos'. However, the only problem with this potential transfer is that Real manager Zinedine Zidane wants his 18-year-old son Luca to become the Bernabeu's next number one.
What will win out? The Real President's need for a marquee signing or the manager's nepotism? Only time will tell, but given Perez's trigger happy nature when it comes to coaches, we don't fancy Zizou's chances.
