Diego Costa's situation at Chelsea took another turn this week as the Spanish striker was allowed to return to the first team. However, not all is rosy between the Spanish striker and the Blues' hierarchy.
It is believed Costa's return to the first team may only be temporary until he is allowed to leave in the Summer, with manager Antonio Conte not wanting to lose one of his most important players in the current transfer window without ample time to find a suitable replacement.
The row which caused the former Atletico Madrid man to be dropped for last week's trip to Leicester was said to be over an offer Costa had received from China, where he would have reportedly earned a staggering £30m per season.

And the demands Costa is now making are also, unsurprisingly, regarding money.

The Sun claim that the Spain international is demanding a new contract with wages of £300,000 per week. However, the Chelsea board are unwilling to meet the 28-year-old's demands and will instead look to thrash out a deal in the region of £225,000 per week on a five year deal.
In all likelihood, Costa's desire to move to China was probably not all that great and a significant increase in his salary at Stamford Bridge is all he was after all along, but even so, with Chelsea not currently wishing to bow to his lofty demands, problems between the two camps could still yet rumble on.

Then again, all could be forgotten if the Spaniard continues to fire the Blues to a fifth Premier League title, this season.
