Watch: Dimitri Payet Scores Outrageous Side-Foot Volley For Marseille

By now we're fully aware that Dimitri Payet has a knack for producing jaw-dropping levels of technique but he's left us in awe again tonight.
Marseille ran out 4-0 winners over Guingamp at the Stade Veledrome and the skipper sent the home supporters into a frenzy with a stunning strike to make it 2-0 in the 73rd minute.
The ball dropped to him outside the box and though most players would have trapped the ball and taken a touch, Dimitri Payet isn't like most players. He produced the most breathtaking side-foot volley that flew right into the top bins.
The former West Ham man really had no right to pull it off but he really is the king of nonchalance and boy did he produce wonders. Unbelievable tekkers, pure unadulterated filth.
He's conjured up ridiculous outside of the boot goals, sumptuous free-kicks and rabonas, but we think this may well be the best goal Payet has ever scored. And there'll be a riot if it doesn't end up on the Puskas Award shortlist.
Newcastle flop Florian Thauvin continued his fine Marseille form by notching twice, while Fulham mis-fit Konstantinos Mitroglou was also on the scoresheet as Rudi Garcia's men recorded a comprehensive victory.
Now second behind PSG in the table, Marseille have netted a superb 14 goals in their five outings thus far. Of course there's no doubt that Payet's golazo is the best they've scored - and the 31-year old has probably already won their goal of the season.
