Dimitri Payet Scores Goal From Impossible Angle For Marseille Vs St-Etienne

Dimitri Payet has scored one of the goals of the season so far from an impossible angle vs St-Etienne.

The Marseille midfielder collected the ball on the wing and drifted into the opposition box.

He then turns the defender inside out, before bringing the ball onto his left foot and drilling it in from near the byline to dumbfound Stephane Ruffier.

Check out the strike below.

Fans on social media have reacted to the strike and marveled at the 32-year-old's technique.

The Frenchman is fondly remembered in England for his time at West Ham United.

Payet lit up Upton Park and registered nine goals and 12 assists.

He departed for Ligue 1 in 2017 but he's still a player that 'the streets will never forget'.

Marseille are managed by former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas and are flying high.

They sit second behind PSG and victory tonight will take them six points ahead of third place Rennes.

Do you think Payet's strike could be goal of the season so far?
