Yesterday we told you that days after lifting the Premier League title, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes scooped another accolade - a Guinness World Record for longest drop kick in football history.

Ederson posted a picture to Instagram after he was snapped with his latest achievement.

The 24-year-old was presented with the accolade on Thursday 10 May, although it wasn't clear when this feat was achieved, until now.

As you can see in the footage above, Ederson smashes the world record by a 0.35 metres, as the previous record was 75m.

It has been a remarkable debut season for Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

After being brought in for a world-record fee last year, expectation was high but the 24-year-old has been a rock between the sticks for Pep Guardiola's side in recent months, breaking the hoodoo of bad goalkeepers

Shortly after wrapping up a deal to sign for City, Ederson made his Brazil national team debut and marked his first outing for his country with a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Chile.

His first start for Brazil was more than deserved and he continued his rich vein of form. Tite's side made easy work of La Roja, with goals from Paulinho and Gabriel Jesus (2) meaning the Confederations Cup finalists will not be appearing in Russia for next year's World Cup.

Jesus, who was Brazil's top scorer in qualifying, should have had a hat-trick. His City teammate Ederson found him in the 23rd minute with an utterly ridiculous 90-yard goal-kick that dropped right at his feet.

We advise you to check it out:

Take a bow.
