There was a new face in England training today as 18-year old youngster Trevoh Chalobah was involved in sessions at St George's Park.

The talented defender is seen as one of the most promising players within the Chelsea youth set-up, playing a key role in yet another UEFA Youth League success for the Blues in 2017/18.

He's yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea but was a surprise substitute for the FA Cup final triumph against Manchester United at Wembley.

Just being in the squad for one of the biggest dates in the footballing calendar and taking it all in will have been a brilliant experience, but his dream couple of weeks has got even better.

With James Tarkowski pulling out from the standby list and returning to Burnley due to a required hernia operation, along with Harry Maguire being placed on a personalised training regime for the day, Chalobah, a Under 19's European Championship winner last year, was drafted in by Gareth Southgate.

His older brother Nathaniel, formerly of Chelsea and now at Watford, has been using the facilities for rehabilitation as he bids to recover from a knee injury that disrupted his season at Vicarage Road. He also took part in training with the rest of the group.

Imagine being 18 and rubbing shoulders with all the England stars as they gear up for the World Cup?! It's a huge deal for Chalobah, who will no doubt be hoping he is properly in the squad at some point in the near future.
