James McClean has donated 1,200 euros to a family in order to help fund a funeral.
The 27-year-old often finds himself in the media spotlight, and he's done it yet again but for an absolute classy gesture.
A young lad by the name of Ronan McGavigan was tragically hit by a car after chasing a football down down the road. The two-year-old, and his family, had been playing near McClean's former stomping ground Brandywell stadium where the unfortunate incident took place.
To help the stricken parents, a fundraising campaign was introduced to cover the funeral expenses though Republic of Ireland star as well as his wife paid the entire target sum, with the donations eventually reaching up to 3,500 euros.
Advert
Ronan's funeral Mass will be held at St Columba's Long Tower Church in Derry at 11.30am tomorrow.
Rest in peace, little man.
