If you're wondering what Daniel Sturridge is up to these days, then you now have your answer!

The former Chelsea and Liverpool striker has filmed a hilarious parody song encouraging people to get vaccinated, as he kills time while quarantining in a Perth hotel room.

Sturridge posted the video on Instagram and has amassed more than 160,000 views at the time of writing, showcasing Sturridge's surprisingly impressive vocals.

The key message of the song is 'take a shot for me', and sparked plenty of reaction from other current and former footballers, including the likes of Jordan Henderson, Micah Richards, Nathan Redmond and Ryan Bertrand.

It is not the first time that Sturridge gave an insight into quarantine life, after posting a video of his hotel room, giving a tongue-in-cheek tour of his 'gym area' and 'cinema area with snacks.'

He also did his own remix of Jordin Sparks' hit track 'No Air', citing how the windows don't open in his hotel room.

This is the kind of humour we all need right now, with Covid cases currently wreaking havoc with the football calendar.

Turning matters onto the pitch, Sturridge made his debut against Adelaide United after coming off the bench in the 1-1 draw.

The striker moved Down Under after being released by Turkish club Trabzonspor in March 2020, and is now looking to get his career back on track, with a series of injuries blighting his progress in recent years.

Let's hope quarantine life goes quickly for Sturridge and he's back out on the pitch again soon.
