Steve Bruce Set For Aston Villa Job

Steve Bruce is set to be named as the new manager of Aston Villa today, in the wake of the club parting ways with Roberto Di Matteo, nine days ago.

Bruce, who last oversaw the promotion of Hull City back to the Premier League, has been out of work since leaving the Tigers over the Summer and will not be entrusted with the unenviable task of attempting to reverse Villa's fading fortunes.

Sitting in as a pundit on ITV's highlight show, last night, Bruce confirmed that he was expecting a phone call today, with Sky Sports News also confirming the news:
