"If you’ve got Dykes and Christie up front, you need 19 chances. You’ve got to take those chances."

Scotland are a 'Championship outfit' and 'need 19 chances' to score, according to Jamie O'Hara who has launched a scathing attack following their European Championship defeat.

Scotland's first game at a major tournament in 23 years ended in a crushing 2-0 defeat to Czech Republic.

A double from Patrik Schick saw Steve Clarke's side lose in front of their own fans at Hampden Park.

And talkSPORT pundit O'Hara pulled no punches in his assessment of Scotland's Group D defeat, mocking the team's ability.

He told Ally McCoist: "They're Championship finishing.

"Let's not beat around the bush. I know Jose said Scotland are a Premier League outfit - they ain't. Championship outfit."

O'Hara continued by slamming Scotland's forwards Lyndon Dykes and Ryan Christie, who were both guilty of missing chances against the Czechs.

He said: "If you've got Dykes and Christie up front, you need 19 chances. You've got to take those chances.

"There's been all this talk about them coming in and being the underdog and they're going to win the competition! 19 chances! You've got to score.

"Che Adams was on the bench, he plays for Southampton."

Southampton star Adams eventually came on, but to no avail as the Scots lost their opener.

They resume their Euro 2020 campaign on Friday when they face England, who beat Croatia 1-0 at Wembley Stadium last weekend.
