With a basic weekly wage of £68,085, Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino isn't anywhere near one of the top earners in the Premier League, and is most likely not at the top-end of the wage bracket at his club if we're going off standard weekly earnings.

However, the Brazilian has no problem making his money because of specific performance-related bonuses that were inserted into his contract when he signed from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2015.

Back in December, German journalist Michael Reis, who writes for Sport BILD, got his paws on some information on the Liverpool No.11's contract.

He reported that Firmino would be entitled to several payments once he scored a certain amount of goals (excluding penalties) for the club.

His first five goals this season saw him rewarded with a £25,000 pay-out every time he found the net, and it got even better when he got a massive £45,000 bonus for goals between 6 and 10.

Firmino is now on 12 goals for the campaign for the season, which means he has received two separate payments of £65,000 as part of the deal for goals between 11 and 16.

If he manages to take his tally to 16 and above in the last couple of fixtures, he will receive £85,000 for every goal he scores according to Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football

But he also rakes in big bucks if he lays a chance on a plate for the teammate and they then find the net.

In terms of assists, Firmino has pocketed an incredible sum of £190,000 for the six instances he saw a teammate finish off an opportunity he set up. Breaking it down further, the 25-year old made £31,000 for every assist he supplied.

Not a bad little contract Firmino has got himself there, is it?

He's not the only one to have bonuses for providing the goods on the pitch, though, as details of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba's contracts came to light a couple of days back.

In the upcoming German book, figures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Manchester United wages emerged - with the player picking up a tasty £367,640-a-week.

Interestingly, the former AC Milan striker managed to bag enough goals for United this season to earn himself a £2.86 million goal bonus but was four Premier League starts short of earning himself a contract extension to next season.

The leaked figures also suggest that Paul Pogba earns a weekly wage of 'only' £165,588-a-week, though from next year Pogba will get a loyalty bonus of £3.4 million a year on top of earning an extra £36k-a-week if United are successful in winning the Europa League this season.

The book also states that Mino Raiola, the super agent involved in bringing Pogba to the Premier League, is set to make a whopping £41 million from the transfer.

Pogba's transfer to United is being investigated by FIFA and there is talk that Firmino's £29m move to Liverpool could also be subject to a probe, with the Football Leaks book saying that Hoffenheim received just £5.8 million from the deal.

Like United with the Pogba deal, there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing on Liverpool's part.
