It's been another fraught transfer window for Arsenal, with the late additions of Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi salvaging what could have been a severely underwhelming summer for the Gunners. However, despite some last minute spending, fans have still been left unimpressed by the imminent departure of Serge Gnabry. The 21-year-old was just named Germany's player of the tournament at the Olympic Games, where 'Die Mannschaft' finished as silver medallists to host nation Brazil. Having spent the majority of his Arsenal career on loan, Gnabry is now entering the final year of his contract with the Gunners and Bayern have swooped to sign him.
It's a move that has not gone down well with the North London club's fanbase.
Theo and Ox were on top of the list to leave us this summer not Campbell, Wilshere or Serge Gnabry.- Adnan Salman (@adnan2205) August 30, 2016
Nooooo!! Don't let Gnabry leave!! He's better than Walcott- Marcus Bowers (@marcusbowers89) August 30, 2016
Selling Gnabry will be a great mistake because he can be one of the best players in the world- MansOur jA (@Mans_ja) August 30, 2016
The actual state of our club to keep Sanogo and Walcott while we are looking to loan or offload players like Wilshere, Gnabry and Campbell- :crown: Lucas Pereζ (@Parmpal_) August 30, 2016
So loaning Campbell and potentially loaning Wilshere and selling Gnabry, but keeping Walcott!?!? What the hell are you doing? @Arsenal- Patricio (@CockRoche34) August 30, 2016
Not long ago wenger said gnabry has big future at arsenal, just hope the news are wrong- RED ◢ (@Rendy_Yang) August 30, 2016
Selling gnabry, now, makes 0 sense unless he's rejected a new contract offer. I'd hate it- Mr T (@1MrT_AFC) August 30, 2016
This Gnabry story is depressing me. How did we let his contract run down to just one year left? #afc- Ike (@Nyagah_) August 30, 2016
Hope Gnabry leaves us, only way we'll learn that you lose good players if you don't man manage them well enough- ️ (@semperafc) August 30, 2016
Do you think Wenger is right to let Gnabry leave? Should the Arsenal manager offer the youngster a new deal? Have your say in the comments section, below.
