Jamie Carragher has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent months, but his gesture towards a devastated Loris Karius speaks volumes after Liverpool's defeat to Real Madrid on Saturday night.
If you didn't manage to catch the match, Karius made two vital errors in the second half.
Firstly he threw the ball at Karim Benzema which rebounded off his body and gifted him an easy tap in. Then he fumbed Gareth Bale's long range effort to end all hopes of a win.
It just wasn't the goalkeeper's night and after the final whistle, he sobbed to the travelling support and asked for forgiveness.

With tears in his eyes, Karius raised his hand and apologised for his errors.
After his gesture to the fans, Karius was on his way to the tunnel when Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher stopped and consoled him before he entered the dressing room.

He might have only offered him an arm around the shoulder and a word, but not many of his teammates consoled the 24-year-old after his blunders.
Fair play, Jamie.
Thoughts on Karius' performance against Real Madrid on Saturday? Will he play for Liverpool again?
