Chelsea midielder Danny Drinkwater has hit back at a fan who asked where his career 'went wrong' during a recent Q&A session on social media.

The 30-year-old, who recently joined Turkish Süper Lig side Kasımpaşa on a loan deal until the end of the season, has struggled for first-team football since his big money move from Leicester City in 2017.

Drinkwater has only made 23 appearances for Chelsea since joining in a £35 million deal - and hasn't made a first team appearance for The Blues in more than two years

He tried to pick up some form with loan spells at Burnley and Aston Villa before recently joining Kasımpaşa in January, but ultimately he has still found first-team football hard to come by.

As Drinkwater tries to reignite his career in Turkey, he has recently hosted a question and answer session on Instagram, where one fan asked: "Where did your career go wrong?"

He responded with a picture of himself kissing the Premier League trophy after that miracle 2015/16 campaign with Leicester along with the caption: "Go wrong?"

Drinkwater, who made over 200 appearances for Leicester City between 2012 and 2017, also spoke about former teammates Eden Hazard and Jamie Vardy in the Instagram Q&A .

The Chelsea midfielder found himself in the news last month when he was sent off after kicking out at Tottenham Hotspur U23s' Alfie Devine - starting a mass brawl in the process.

The 30-year-old was originally brought down by Devine with a horrific challenge that left him on the floor.

Devine then attempted to run away with the ball to continue the game, which was locked at 2-2, but Drinkwater had other ideas.

He kicked out at the 16-year-old and it sparked unsavoury scenes between both sets of players.
