A former France U21 international has opened up about his conversation with Sir Alex Ferguson in 2010 - and it's a fascinating read 11 years on.
Pascal Olmeta, a former goalkeeper who played for Marseille, Lyon and Espanyol, was invited to Manchester United's training ground by Ferguson, who pointed out a talented midfielder who was flourishing in the club's academy system.
In the chat, the legendary Scot praised a young Paul Pogba; a player he thought would reach the heights of world football but also called him a "dreamer" who needed guidance.
Olmeta spoke about that meeting with Ferguson in an interview with French outlet RMC Sport this week.
"I was invited to Manchester United training by Sir Alex Ferguson," he said. "I went there with two children from my [Un Sourire, Un Espoir pour la Life] association.
"I had lunched with him and he told me about Paul Pogba, who was 17 at the time.
"He told me: 'You see this player, he will be extraordinary, full of talent. He will be at the top. But he's a dreamer and if nobody is there to show him his way, he'll never make it.'
"That was a few years ago and here we are today in that debate."
The debate regarding Pogba and his talents on the pitch have been rife of late.
Shortly after his performance against Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Paul Scholes said the French midfielder is "away with the fairies at times" during games and will still be "exactly the same" when he turns 35.
"[Pogba] needs somebody on him all the time... somebody there that he totally respects, he needs experienced people behind him," he told BT Sport.
"How old he? 28? He's a really experienced player. But he's one of them that will get to 35 and be exactly the same. He'll still be doing the stupid stuff where he's stud rolling the ball, holding people off showing how strong and skilful he is.
"The biggest thing with Paul is his concentration. He goes away with the fairies at times. You think of the Juventus team he played in, where he was brilliant and was why we signed him.
"The experience around him - [Andrea] Pirlo, [Giorgi] Chiellini, [Leonardo] Bonucci, [Gianluigi] Buffon, an aggressive manager...
"He will need that treatment until he's 35."
