Liverpool have been forced into a FA Cup replay after they gave away a two-goal lead against Shrewsbury.

The Premier League leaders squandered a two-nil lead against Shrewsbury during their FA Cup fourth round tie.

Curtin Jones and a Donald Love own goal had given Liverpool a two-goal lead, but the League One outfit fought back to draw 2-2.

Super-sub Jason Cummings scored a brace to force a replay. He pulled one back from the spot in the 65th minute before bagging his second goal of the game 10 minutes later after slotting past Adrian.

Jurgen Klopp brought on star forwards Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah in the second half but they failed to score.

Shrewsbury have a trip to Anfield to look forward to as they continue their stunning cup venture.

Speaking after the game, Klopp said: "It's difficult to win the game. We don't have enough time to say all the things which weren't right today.

"We scored a really good goal but apart from that, Adrian had absolutely too much to do. He was brilliant. The counter-attacks they had when we lost the ball.

"They slowed the game down in their formation and we lost the ball in the wrong moments. It just didn't look like it was 2-0 [to Liverpool] on the pitch. It looked like we were 2-1 down.

"But well deserved for Shrewsbury, it was the minimum they deserved. Congratulations to them."
