Forget queuing for a pie and a pint at the kiosk inside the stadium concourse, PSG fans will soon be able to have food delivered straight to their seats as part of a new partnership with Deliveroo.

Today, the Ligue One champions announced they have signed a new deal until 2022 with the food delivery service - posting the following clip to announce the link-up:

And through the new collaboration, from 2020 onwards those sitting in the stands at the Parc des Princes will be able to order food from their phone and have it delivered right on their lap without even missing a corner, free-kick or goal.

Commenting on the groundbreaking deal, Deliveroo founder, Will Shu said: "We are very proud to support Paris Saint-Germain. "The club has gone a long way in recent years, becoming a respected and loved global brand.

"Just like food, football is all about passion. PSG is a hugely popular club and one that is idolised in France and all over the world. It is a huge family with amazing supporters."

Deliveroo won't be the only food company associated with French football however, as in June it was confirmed that Uber Eats would be taking over from Conforama as Ligue One's official sponsor after a two-year link was struck.

What's more, the match ball will be brought onto the pitch by an Uber Eats driver ahead of games starting from the 2020/21 campaign.

It will then be collected by the referee for the start of the game, as part of the €15 million partnership.

When you take into account the fact that the french second tier is sponsored by Dominos, one gets the idea that there's a bit of a food revolution happening in French football.
