On-loan Manchester City left-back Angelino scored a superb goal to put RB Leipzig 1-0 up against İstanbul Başakşehir in the Champions League tonight.

The Spaniard bagged a first-half brace for last season's Champions League semi-finalists and the opener was a glorious bit of individual brilliance.

A lofted ball in behind saw Angelino twist and turn wonderfully before slamming home an emphatic finish. It all happened in one swift moment, with the touch and spin just utterly outrageous.

He then added a second four minutes later for the Red Bull backed outfit, continuing an impressive run of scoring in three consecutive games.

After City exercised their buy-back option by acquiring him from PSV, the Spaniard made a total of 12 appearances for the club last term, including starts in games against Manchester United and Liverpool.

He was then loaned out to Bundesliga side Leipzig, his performances earning him a place in the 'Champions League Squad of the Season' and resulting in the 23-year-old heading back to East Germany.

It's initially a loan but the club have the option to purchase him permanently for £25.2 million if he makes 12 appearances and five come in the second half of the current campaign.

City, who have struggled at left-back with injuries and poor form when it comes to Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko, will look to insert a buy-back option in his contract for a second time if the transfer takes place
