Memphis Still Only Wearing First Name On Shirt After Lyon Move

Memphis Still Only Wearing First Name On Shirt After Lyon Move

Memphis Depay may have swapped clubs this week but the Dutch winger isn't for swapping the name on the back of his shirt any time soon, with the former Manchester United man still opting for just his forename on the back of his jersey.

It transpired that the Dutchman didn't adorn his kits with the Depay name as it is his father's surname, who he has not talked to since he was 17.

While Denis Depay denies abandoning Memphis and his family years ago, the wounds have yet to heal for Lyon's latest signing, who will now wear 'Memphis 9' on the back of his new kit.
