Watch: Lyon Smash Nice 5-0, Memphis Depay Bags Sublime Brace

Despite being away from home, Lyon thrashed Nice 5-0 to record their eighth league win.

Memphis Depay starred for the Ligue 1 outfit, bagging a brace in sublime fashion. While showing the club don't rely on talisman Nabil Fekir who was absent through suspension.

The former Manchester United winger opened the scoring in just the fifth minute. He received the ball after some brilliant play on the wing, and then unleashed a stinging right foot strike in the bottom corner.

Maxwel Cornet and Mariano made it two then three in the 20th and 27th minute. Depay added his sides fourth and his second with another classy right foot effort.

Following his heroics, Depay, 23, has now weighed in with 10 goals from 18 appearances in all competitions for Lyon.

He now has seven goals and two assists in his last seven games. Prolific.
