Martin Odegaard may not have done anything of note in a Real Madrid shirt but he's absolutely loving life in the Eredivisie.

And today, the Norwegian scored arguably his best goal over in the Dutch top flight when he smashed in a left-footed worldie in Vitesse Arnhem's thrilling 3-3 draw with PSV.

The 20-year old drove in from the right flank and pinged a powerful strike into the top bins from around 25 yards out. Jeroen Zoet in the PSV goal had absolutely no chance.

The Real Madrid loanee is an expert when it comes to shooting from range as five of his six goals in the league this term have come outside the box - only Ajax's Hakim Ziyech has more having netted seven from distance.

Odegaard, who came to prominence in 2014 when he became the youngest player to appear and score in the Norwegian Premier League, struggled for first team minutes in the Spanish capital after his highly anticipated move.

However, he has proved his worth in the Eredivisie under veteran manager Leonid Slutsky, proving to be one of their best players since joining in an 18-month loan deal.

His highlights against AZ Alkmaar on Tuesday night showed exactly what he's all about as a player - with Odegaard skilfully standing on the ball, turning and nutmegging his opponent in a wonderful passage of play.

He's playing with a swagger and an arrogance at the moment and even took no mercy during the recent international break when he mugged off Sergio Busquets.

Will he get a look in at Real Madrid as part of a summer rebuild or should he stay in the Eredivisie?

Sound off in the comments.
