Manchester United's Greatest XI Of The Premier League Era Has Been Revealed

David de Gea, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo have been voted by fans in Manchester United's best XI of the Premier League era.

United held a series of polls for fans to have their say on the best of the best that have played at Old Trafford in the Premier League era.

The Red Devils posted the full results on its website as De Gea beat Peter Schmeichel and Edwin van der Sar to be named United's No 1 for the team.

The 29-year-old Spaniard secured a whopping 59 per cent of the vote, putting him well clear of Schmeichel's 25 per cent and Van Der Sar's 15 per cent.

Gary Neville was the clear favourite at right-back with 75 per cent of the vote, while Patrice Evra's 63 per cent allowed him to beat Denis Irwin's 30 per cent to the left-back position.

Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, who were voted the Premier League's best defensive partnership, secured 58 per cent and 55 per cent respectively.

Ronaldo (75 per cent) takes up his position on the right wing and United legend Ryan Giggs (95 per cent) is stationed at the left wing.

Joining former United skipper Roy Keane (78 per cent) is fellow legend Paul Scholes, who secured a hefty 70 per cent of the vote.

Rooney's 31 per cent of the vote allowed him to finish ahead of fan-favourite ex-United star Ruud van Nistelrooy (23 per cent).

United's all-time record scorer is partnered alongside legendary Frenchman Eric Cantona, who picked up 41 per cent of the votes in the poll.
