Antoine Griezmann signed Kylian Mbappe for Newcastle on his Football Manager save and the Frenchman's response would suggest he wouldn't be too keen on a move to the Magpies.

On Thursday, the club were taken over by the Saudi Public Investment Fundken over by the Saudi Public Investment Fund in a monumental move that ended Mike Ashley's 14-year stint as owner.

Newcastle now have the richest owner in the Premier League and are expected to splash out big in a bid to complete at the very top level.

If they can get anywhere close to matching Griezmann's FM feats with the new-found wealth than the Toon will have done very well

While on international duty with France ahead of Euro 2020, FM addict Griezmann got stuck into the Sports Interactive game.

In a video filmed on France's official channels, Griezmann was on the plane with his laptop out and talking to colleague and fellow FM super-fan Ousmane Dembele about his exploits.

He explained to the Barcelona winger that in one year with Newcastle, he led the club to a whopping five trophies - including the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in a stellar season.

He then brought Mbappe into the conversation, telling the PSG sensation about signing him virtually for €134 million.

The 22-year-old's reaction was priceless, as he replied: "Newcastle, where? It's not very warm there eh?".

Mbappe has admitted he wants out at PSG as he runs down his contract before it expires in the summer, but despite Newcastle fans being able to dream, it doesn't seem like he has much interest in a move to the North East.

Still, it will be very interesting to see what business Newcastle do in the January transfer market with their fresh funds.
