Seven years after we all fell in love with Real Madrid's stunning red kit, Los Blancos are set to leave nostalgic tongues wagging by releasing a 'tango red' jersey.

It looks like Real are ready to scrap tradition and wear the bold colour for the 2018/19 campaign after the ever-reliable FootyHeadlines leaked exclusive pictures of the new design earlier this week.

It will be the club's third kit and according to reports, it will be worn in the UEFA Champions League.

The design draws inspiration from the 1990s Adidas EQT line as Adidas are 'continuing to blur the border between football and fashion' with the upcoming collection, which includes the unusual v-neck design.

Not to mention the fact that Real Madrid's famous logo is slap bang in the middle of the shirt.

Do you like the minimalist design on the potential new Real Madrid shirt?

This isn't the only Los Blancos kit news that has emerged in recent weeks. Karim Benzema launched a special, limited edition Real Madrid 'icon' jersey that will only be available at the Santiago Bernabeu shop. *Books flights to Madrid to buy it.*

The shirt will retail at a higher price than the original replica shirt, but I'm fairly sure people will pay an extra few quid to wear it.

I mean, just look at it.

It's the perfect mixture of classic and modern. The vintage ribbed round collar looks exquisite next to the modern logo and royal blue chest band.

Images of the new shirt emerged on Adidas Football's official Instagram page on Thursday morning and it certainly received plenty of positive feedback from fans on social media.

The reliable FootyHeadlines suggest that the jersey will be available for around £100.
