Jorginho broke down in tears after captaining Chelsea to the Champions League final in touching scenes at the final whistle.

The Italy international cut an emotional figure after his side beat Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

He collapsed to his knees and shed a tear in a heart-warming sequence which didn't go unnoticed by Chelsea fans.

Supporters on social media loved their skipper's reaction to securing a spot in the European showpiece against Manchester City.

Jorginho has divided fans with his performances on the pitch and comments about Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.

But it appears their supporters are finally warming to the Brazilian-born midfield star.

One wrote: "Best moment of the night. Jorginho has been immense in our journey to the final. One last step remains."

A second tweeted: "This man has played his heart out this season, well deserved praise...That tackle on Benzema during the breakaway to wards the end."

A third added: "My respect for him has gone SO SO SO HIGH. A proper warrior. No wonder why Pep was so upset when he didn't get him."

The Blues are in a commanding position to finish in the top four in the league and have not one but two cup finals to look forward to this month.
