Jadon Sancho showed he's ready to light up the Bundesliga for a second successive season by scoring a sumptuous solo goal in pre-season for Borussia Dortmund last night.

The 19-year old boy-wonder scored the third and final goal in a 3-1 win over MLS outfit Seattle Sounders across the pond.

England international Sancho collected the ball from his full-back on the right flank just inside the opposition half and immediately set about driving forward.

He then displayed his lightning quick feet to breeze past the majority of the Sounders backline before finding the bottom corner with a left-footed finish from outside the area.

The former Manchester City winger scored 12 goals and 14 assists in his breakthrough season in the Bundesliga last term but is out to prove that he's not a flash in a pan by remaining consistent.

"It's crazy what's happened because I'm still only 19 and things like that usually happen when you're 23 or 24. Now it's about keeping that level," Sancho told SoccerBible, via Bundesliga.com.

"People are waiting for me to dip so they can say I'm a one-hit wonder.

"I just need to keep playing and hope I stay clear of injuries. I just have to keep working hard and helping the team. That's the main thing."

Sancho featured in every single league game for BVB as they finished runners-up to Bayern Munich, who claimed the title by a two-point margin on the final day.

Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard, Mats Hummels, Mateu Morey and Nico Schulz have all been drafted in ahead of the 2019/20 campaign and Sancho feels the group have what it takes to go a step further this time around.

"We're a young team, but we've got more experience now," Sancho explained to media during Dortmund's pre-season tour of the US.

"We've been playing really good football in training. If we can stay fit and keep everyone who's here now, I'm confident we can win the title."
