Inter Milan have announced that midfielder Radja Nainggolan has been "temporarily suspended from competitive activity" for disciplinary reasons.

The club have not specified what exactly the Belgian has done but it has been reported that he turned up late for training this morning having already done so this week.

With his club coming down hard on him, the former Roma man will now be unavailable for selection for the big game against Napoli on Boxing Day.

Nainggolan is one of the best box-to-box midfielders around today but his attitude and ill-discipline is quite well-known, with Roberto Martinez famously not picking him in the World Cup.

The 30-year old caused a stir in the summer when he was missing from the Nerazzurri's first game of the season, a loss to Sassuolo.

His absence was down to an injury but it didn't help things that the Belgian was spotted in club La Casa Loca on Friday night.

In a video, shot by a fan, he's told, "You have to play soon go to bed," with Nainggolan replying by sticking his finger up:

On that occasion, Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera report, via Calciomercato, that the club found no issue with the players behaviour and decided not to him.

However, this time Inter have decided to act and tell him to stay away from the club until further notice.

It completes a pretty bad week for 'Ninja', reportedly having €150,000 stolen by a gang who falsified his cheques, as per Football Italia.

Nainggolan joined the club in a €38 million deal in the summer and has scored three goals in 15 appearances for the club.
