WATCH: Kelechi Iheanacho Scores Absolute Screamer For Nigeria

Kelechi Iheanacho scoring a thunderbolt has probably come a week too early for Manchester Cityfans.

But Nigeria supporters won't be disappointed to see him hitting the net in their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania earlier.

Iheanacho could end up starting the Manchester derby next weekend at Old Trafford after Sergio Aguero had his three-game for elbowing West Ham's Winston Reid upheld.

And scoring a thunderbolt like he did today would be perfect for Pep Guardiola, his team-mates and the City supporters.

It came almost 10 minutes before full-time and shows Iheanacho is not simply a penalty box poacher when it comes to scoring goals:

We hope they checked the crossbar was still in working order after that.

Iheanacho has had to settle for two substitute appearances for City so far this season and scoring a goal ahead of what could be his first start of the campaign is ideal preparation.
