Marseille Fan Runs Length Of Pitch To Score From Kick-Off, Crowd Goes Wild

He was only supposed to be taking the ceremonial kick-off, but things escalated when this young Marseille fan decided to take his opportunity and run. Literally.

Both sets of players looked on in bemusement as the youngster carried the ball, dribbling straight through the defence to score a historic, mazy run at the packed out Stade Velodrome.

Seconds later, the kid ran towards the home fans and took off his shirt, clutching his precious jersey before knee sliding on the floor.

If that wasn't enough, he then celebrated to the camera with his arms outstretched, jumping like he'd actually scored the opening goal against Rennes.

The crowd went wild as players stood around him, wondering what the f*ck was going on. Marseille eventually went on to pick up a point after being 2-0 down but this moment was the biggest news of the day.

To be honest, It might go down as the best moment of the weekend.

What a moment for this young lad. We all wanted to score on our theatre of dreams as a kid and this lad went for it.

Fair play.
