Furious Jose Mourinho Storms Down Tunnel After Eric Dier As Spurs Star Apparently 'Went For A S**t'

Jose Mourinho furiously stormed down the tunnel after Eric Dier disappeared off the pitch as Tottenham trailed Chelsea 1-0 at the time.

Chelsea summer signing Timo Werner opened the scoring for Frank Lampard's men in the first half of their League Cup clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs star Dier sprinted down the tunnel late in the second half as the 'Special One' chased after him in anger.

Not long after the 26-year-old England international emerged from the tunnel and so did Mourinho much to the amusement of fans.

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker tweeted: "Strange scenes as [Eric Dier] runs off the pitch to the dressing room, followed hastily by Mourinho.

"Then Dier runs back out to resume playing. Presumably he needed the loo. Players just don't shit on the pitch anymore. What's wrong with them?"

Fans wasted no time in taking to Twitter and sharing similar sentiments to Lineker over 'mother nature' calling for Dier.

Erik Lamela pulled one back for Spurs in the 83rd minute to send the League Cup clash to a penalty shootout.

Mourinho's side progressed to the next stage of the competition after beating Chelsea 5-4 on penalties.
