In today's weird story of the day, a former Colombian player attempted to smuggle €45,000's worth of cocaine in his pants, reports say.

Diego Osorio, who turned out for three clusb in his native Colombia, was travelling to Spain when he was found to be in posession of the drugs at the airport in Rionegro, Colombia.

Osorio competed for his country at the 1992 Olympics as well as featuring in two Copa America tournaments.

The cocaine was said to have been fastened on the inside rim of his underwear when police searched him.

The value of the cocaine was said to be worth a street value of €45,000 - with the amount of the Class A drug said to be weighing in at 1.145kg.

A video released by authorities emerged online documenting the incident, with the substance on the table.

It isn't the first time Osorio has been caught with drugs; he was pulled up by police in Miami back in 2002 and subsequently arrested for cocaine posession and trafficking.

Sounds like he's been watching Narcos on Netflix a bit too much.
