Jurgen Klopp has revealed which Liverpool player he hasn’t played enough during his final season at Anfield.

On Monday, Liverpool conceded two late goals to draw with Aston Villa in Klopp's last away game as manager.

The Reds drew 3-3 after an own goal from Emi Martinez and goals from Cody Gakpo and Jarell Quansah.

Youri Tielemans and Jhon Duran both scored for Villa in a six-goal thriller at Villa Park.

Elliott managed to get an assist with a delightful cross for Jarell Quansah to head in the third goal for the Reds.

Speaking after the recent match against Tottenham, Klopp was asked whether the young Englishman had been given enough minutes this season.

Klopp said: “I'm not sure. That's up to me, it's a little bit of moments like this and he was outstanding, outstanding and he has to be as dominant as he was today. Fantastic player, what a goal. I love it. All good.”

Elliott was also asked whether he would be speaking to the manager about his lack of game time.

He said: “I'm not really one to do that really

“It is my dream to go out and play football, especially in a Liverpool shirt. The games I don't start, I'm upset and annoyed but I'm here for the team to make sure that when I come on, I make the impact and if I start, I make the impact.”

Elliott added: “Maybe we can have that conversation towards the end but as I said, I'm just honoured and I'm just very grateful for all opportunities he has given me.”

Expanding on Elliott’s performance, Klopp said: “I think in the midfield position, it was probably [in the] top three or four performances of him today – it was really good and the goal was exceptional.

“Everybody needs moments to gain even more confidence. He is [in] a good moment, but that helps, definitely. He worked really hard in the other direction as well, he did really well.”
